If you plan to stay in Lithuania for more than 90 days, you will need to obtain either a national visa (D) or a residence permit. A national visa (D) allows you to enter and stay in Lithuania for a specified period. A national visa is issued for up to 12 months. If you have been granted a 1-year national visa, another national visa can only be issued if more than 180 days have passed since the expiration of the previous visa. If your national visa is revoked and you apply for a new one within 90 days, you may receive a new visa valid for up to 1 year, including the time covered by the previous visa.

The decision on your visa application will be made within 15 calendar days. This period may be extended up to 45 calendar days if necessary.
