Public transport in Vilnius. Public transportation starts working at 5 a.m. and runs until 11 p.m. There is available E-Ticket (m. Ticket app, JUDU/Vilniečio kortelė). You can either buy a single ticket for the bus or trolleybus, or get a long-term transport card for more regular travel. Ticket prices vary based on how long you’ll be using the service and any discounts you may qualify for. Students who hold a Lithuanian student ID or an ISIC card, pensioners are eligible for discounted public transportation tickets.
Lithuania's train network connects the larger cities and towns. Trains are a comfortable option, especially for traveling between cities like Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and Šiauliai.
Buses run quite frequently between major cities and also connect smaller towns and villages. Each Lithuanian city has a bus station where most buses leave from. Bus routes connecting the main cities to regional towns are usually at least several a day. Main Providers are Kautra and Toks are two of the main bus companies offering both long-distance and regional services. Tickets can be purchased online, at bus stations, or directly from the driver.
Taxis are widely available in all major cities. Taxis can be booked on the Etaksi webpage or with the help of the apps Bolt or Uber.

In larger cities, especially Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda, shared electric scooters have become a popular mode of transportation. Companies like Bolt offer app-based rental services that allow users to pick up and drop off scooters at different locations.
